The religious leaders in the days of Christ Jesus were teaching traditions and rules that nullify the word of God. “Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. They worship me in vain, their teachings are but rules taught by men.” (Matthew 15:6-8). This blog is about opening peoples eyes to what they believe about spiritual truths. Have we been following doctrines and teachings from men that are not the truth of God? I just want people to open their bible, seek the truth, ask questions about what they believe. Here are a few doctrines or teachings that mainstream Christians believe. 1) God says he is One, Christ Jesus believes in one God, but mainstream Christians believe three gods make up one God. 2) Jesus says he is the Christ and king of Israel, but mainstream Christians say he is God. 3) God says he alone is creator and Christ Jesus says his God is creator, but mainstream Christians say Jesus is creator. 4) Christ Jesus says the Father alone is to be worshipped as God, but mainstream Christians worship Jesus as God. 5) Christ Jesus says one is to pray to his God and Father, but mainstream Christians pray to Jesus. 6) Christ Jesus says his coming would occur in that generation that he spoke to on earth, but mainstream Christians have been waiting 2000+years and still counting. 7) Christ Jesus used “hell” or “ghenna” to describe the judgement of God on old covenant Israel in 67-70AD, but mainstream Christians believe it is a place of eternal torment for the unbelieving. These are a few topics that I share on my blog that go against mainstream Christainity. But I feel sometimes these doctrines prevent people from believing God and believing Jesus is the Christ. They are roadblocks to there search for the truth. Judaism and Islam reject the trinity and that Jesus is God. Alot of people cannot believe in a God who would send people to a fiery eternal hell to be tormented forever. People reject the words of Jesus because he clearly said his return would happen in the lifetime of some of his hearers. You see how some man made teachings can mislead people. I know people love God and Christ Jesus and cling to these beliefs. But wouldn’t you like to believe in the truth. A majority of mainstream Christians would go as far to say you cannot obtain salvation without believing that Jesus is God or one must believe that three gods make up one God. Its wrong to threaten ones salvation because they don’t believe with the majority in time honored teaching or tradition that may be false. All I want people to do is open their minds to new views and ideas that are not mainstream and seek the truth of God.
